NetBSD-1.4.2 sparc bootfs fix candidates. As noted in the NetBSD/sparc 1.4.2 README, the shipped boot floppies used newer boot blocks which accomodate large kernels, but at the last minute the kernels were shrunk and so did not actually need the newer boot blocks. Those boot blocks have been reported to fail on sparcs whose physical memory map is sparse when the first group of SIMMS represents a 4 MB chunk. In this directory is a rebuilt pair of sparc boot floppies, which use the original boot blocks and should work on all sparcs. They should otherwise be identical to the boot floppies shipped with 1.4.2. Todd Whitesel toddpw @ netbsd.org Wed Mar 22 01:37:28 PST 2000
